Wonderful

Beautiful hotel in the Italian Lago-Style right on the Lake. Friendly staff, good location and overall good amenities; good food options and Sunday breakfasts that include a (n albeit touristy) Marinba show. The big plus for us is the kids' club on the weekend, including an open-air movie night with popcorn on Saturday for the kids. Given all the amenities, we also didn't spend more than for average weekends on the beach, which makes this place good value too. Enjoyed every minute, will be back!

The playground (without the kids club) needs benches/sitting possibilities with tables for drinks, shade and is overall careless in design. A makeover would make this hotel even more family friendly as the kids club's opening times are limited to the weekends.

The facilities are old, in pictures the hotel looks pretty new or renovated, but our room was old.

Good stay for getting around Lake Atitlan and Panajachel

Clean property and great location near the ferries for getting around Lake Atitlan. Beds were comfortable and wi-fi was very fast.

Shower head was clogged but couldn’t reach it to clean it. The onsite pool and restaurant weren’t very nice.

the menu in the cafeteria sucks big time, they change a great menu for one "less tourist friendly" maybe because of the renovations, I hope I like the place.

The stay was lovely and a much needed respite after volunteering for a week.

Terrific view, wonderful staff, delicious food (LOVED the soups sooo much).

Pool water is very warm and some of the visitors used the pool like a bath tub. I truly saw some of the men washing themselves in the pool. Visitors should be required to shower before using the pool.

The staff is very very friendly and accommodating.

Property was under construction and did not find out about it until a couple of days before the booking once there I found out it had already been under construction for a while so it would of been nice to know before booking. There is no AC in the rooms.

It was pleassurable, comfortable, peaceful and repeatable!

I love the hotel. This is my second stay in one year. The rooms are clean, with a great view since the windows all towards the lake and the volcanoes. The beds are comfortable and large. The food is excellent. The pool is large and clean. The hotel is located near the shore and Santander street, which is a very important street. The hotel has special activities for children. They have marimba at the restaurant in the mornings and live music at night. The staff is very cordial and they go out of their way to assist you. This time was a bit uncomfortable because they are remodeling the main entrance so we had to use the stairs one floor. However it was well arranged and they had free coffee and water in the lobby which is a temporary one.

My only concern was the stairs I had to use daily because of the remodeling.

Very Good

Amazing views of the lake, nice location for walking to other establishments in Pana plus the docks to catch boats to other towns. Nice pool and playground as well as play and activities room for kids make this place fabulous for families.

the balcony rails are extremely low and terrifying in my view. I have both a 3 year old and a six foot husband. I was sure both were going to go over the side. If you have small kids or have been drinking, I would stay off the balcony. But the views are amazing. taking my coffee there early in the morning was breathtaking. Porto - please upgrade those rails! :) otherwise we had a really great stay.

The management at this hotel was amazing.

The view was amazing. We were hoping for a room in the middle of the hotel because then you can see all three volcanoes. We were on the top floor but to the right, so we were only able to see two. But still spectacular. We inadvertently left our passports in our room. The general manager, Raul, was amazing in organizing a courier to safely return them to us when we were in Antigua. And, at no charge! He absolutely went above and above beyond.

The hotel is currently being renovated through August. So we did not have water in the middle of the night until 6 AM. This caused us some issues at times.

Comfy beds, balcony, clean room/bathroom, place to safely store luggage before check in and after check out

No A/C, but we kept the balcony door open and it was fine at night. Also, the front desk said they could exchange money for us, but we asked twice and they couldn’t do it either time.

Great hotel, but a little pricey

The staff were phenomenal... everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. The view was beautiful, and the room very clean. The pool was wonderful too.

They were undergoing a remodel, so guests had to go roundabout ways to get to anything... obviously a temporary issue. They were kind enough to provide earplugs just in case, which I didn't even need. The curtains didn't do a very good job at blocking out the morning light. The room was clean and functional, but very basic... a clock and a mini-fridge would've been nice. It would be a 10/10 at a lower price point, but the value for the money wasn't there for me, personally.
